For 40 years, Our Times has been the heartbeat of the Canadian labour movement, publishing workers’ stories and celebrating the movement’s victories, while challenging us to think about doing things in different ways.Lorraine Endicott worked at Our Times for 38 years, beginning as a writer and a receptionist for Our Times’ print shop in Toronto, before becoming managing editor, working from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. It takes a village to keep an independent labour magazine like Our Times alive and thriving. Together with her co-editor of many years, Antje Meyer-Erlach; Barbara Bailey, the magazine’s long-time art director and designer, and Haseena Manek, the magazine’s Online Community and Outreach Coordinator — and with the dedicated help of many others as well — Lorraine ensured Our Times remained a vital voice in Canadian labour publishing.
