We Lend A Hand – The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes

From 1941-52, thousands of Ontario high school women, from cities (including Toronto), towns and rural areas devoted their summers to support agricultural labour during and after WWII. During WWII, our farm produce was shipped to Europe to feed the needs of the war effort.

Following the screening, Bonnie Sitter, co-author of Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz, Memories of Ontario Farmerettes, along with some special guests, will share the stories and experiences of the Farmerettes.

We can’t wait to see you there!
