About the talk:
Canadian Labour Rights - a History: The Hard-fought battles, important milestones and leading champions in the effort to expand workers' rights in Canada.
Given the rapid rollback of rights that's currently underway in the U.S., it seems like a good time to familiarize ourselves with what it took to expand the rights of Canadians over the years.
This is the 1st installment in a series.
About the Speaker:
David Kidd grew up in the east end of Toronto. He has been a Social Service and Recreation staff member in Regent Park for over 20 years. He is also a Toronto working-class history educator with the Toronto Workers’ History Project (twhp.ca)
